How People Can Help
Often people want to help but don't know how to be helpful. Just as often, caretakers need help, but feel embarrassed or uncertain of how to express their needs.
By keeping a list by the phone, the next time someone calls and offers to help, pull out this list. It's a great way to be prepared the next time someone asks, "Is there anything I can do?"
The next time someone offers to help, I will ask them to please...
- Bring a meal
- Go grocery shopping
- Go to the:
-
- Bank
- Post office
- Discount store
- Hardware store
