- Cottage in the Meadow will serve patients from Yakima Valley Memorial Hospice, Kittitas Valley Home Health & Hospice, Lower Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, and Yakima Regional Home Health and Hospice.
- Cottage in the Meadow provides respite care for caregivers, allowing them a needed break while the patient is cared for in the Hospice center.
- The total project cost is estimated at $6.2 million dollars
What will Cottage in the Meadow include?
- An initial 12-bed hospice care homelike setting with comfortable patient and family areas with easy access for visitation, and 24-hour onsite trained hospice site. Future phases will expand the facility to 20 private patient rooms.
- Specially trained nurses, social workers, pharmacists, chaplains, volunteers, and personal care aides to assist patients and their families.
- Full hospice services.
