About Yakima Hospice Care
Update: Fairweather Challenge

Extending the gift of hospice to our community

Art and Joanne Hall are extremely grateful for the life-enhancing services Art's mother, Florence, received through hospice in her final days. The hospice staff was able to bring her out of isolation, which not only improved her outlook and her health, it actually prolonged her life. For her remaining days, she did the things she enjoyed, surrounded by those she loved.

In honor of Florence and her husband, George, the Hall family has donated $1 million to the Cottage project through the Fairweather Foundation. They are challenging the community to match their gift by December 31, 2010. Every donation of $1,000 or more made through the end of the year will be matched, dollar for dollar by the Fairweather Foundation --up to $1 million dollars. Donations can be made by individuals or groups; including families, neighbors, coworkers or others.

If we are able to meet this challenge, we may be able to begin construction of the first phase of Cottage in the Meadow as soon as Spring 2011.

Please take advantage of this opportunity to have your gift go twice as far in helping us build Cottage in the Meadow.
