Speaker's Forum

Memorial Hospice provides speakers for various groups and organizations throughout the Yakima Valley. The speakers who participate in this vital community program are highly competent and committed. Many speak from their own experiences, and all from their hearts.

Whether you represent an organization interested in partnering to support hospice services in the community, or are a club or civic group looking for a speaker for your next meeting, we are ready to assist you. You may choose a topic or, if you prefer, we will help to design a presentation to suit your needs. Call 509-754-3626, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or email MarkYoung@yvmh.org to set up a speaker for your family, church, club or event.

Here are a few of the topics The Hospice speakers can present for your group:

  • The Hospice overview
  • The Hospice House overview - learn more about this important community resource
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Grief during the holidays
  • Determining if hospice is right for you
  • Caring for the caregiver
  • Volunteer service - How can you make a difference
  • Volunteer service - Hospice office volunteers
  • Charitable gift planning
